Your Parish Council - Awards
In recent years the Parish Council have engaged with the LOCAL GOVERNMENT AWARD SCHEME, an initiative aimed at continuous improvement in the quality of service and value delivered by Parish and Town councils through out the UK.
The awards recognise where councils are not only satisfying their statutory responsibilities but striving to exceed them in delivering quality services to their communities.
The awards comprise a three tier system - Foundation, Quality and Gold and councils are assessed against a range of requirements concerning Governance, Engagement and working with Community and Development.
The awards reflect the continuing work and commitment of the our Parish Clerk, communications team and the whole council and we thank everyone concerned for their dedication.
In November 2023 - the Parish Council received the QUALITY AWARD, becoming only the 3rd council in Worcestershire to achieve this level, behind Pershore Town Council (Gold), [now joined by Alvechurch] and Whittington Parish Council (Quality).
The Parish Council received the FOUNDATION AWARD in December 2022.
The Award was formally presented to our Clerk in the following January.
