SWDPR : Proposed New Town at THROCKMORTON AIRFIELD

After months of requesting timeframes whilst the SWDPR team worked on final tweaks and modifications, the South Worcestershire Development Plan Review was submitted a few days ago at the start of October 23.

There will now be a period of up to several months whilst an Inspector is assigned and begins to prepare for the process of scrutinising the submission of the plan including the three strategic sites at Worcester Parkway, Rushwick and Throckmorton.

The inter parish team including district and county councillors, will continue to work behind the scenes, to prepare for the Inspectors review and calls for evidence, expected during the review.

Consultation Closed 

The final consultation window on the SWDPR and plans for Throckmorton New Town closed at midnight on 23rd December 2022.  We thank everyone for all their expressions of support and all those who took the time and trouble to submit their own objections to the plans.  We hope that the information and guidance was helpful.

The inter-council working group submitted their 43 page (plus appendices) detailed objection to the Throckmorton Site, on behalf of the parish councils and communities of:-
* Bishampton & Throckmorton

* Hill and Moor
* Pinvin and

* Wyre Piddle

We can now only await the outcome of the formal review by the National Planning Inspectorate.  We will shortly start working on plans and preparations for the possibility that we will be called to supplement our written submission to the Inspectors.
